Pop star JADE joins Lily Allen for a new remix of her song “Beg For Me”, from her critically adored comeback album West End Girl. The former Little Mix singer teamed up with Allen ahead of the latter’s headline performance at Mighty Hoopla this weekend, adding a new verse that takes aim at the unappreciative partner in the song.“His fragile ego ain’t worth your tears,” JADE sings, “If we’re being honest, it’s/ Better to find out than to find out in a few years/ ‘Cause we don’t judge, men need their toys/ But no buttplug’s gonna fill the void.”JADE’s lyrics mirror a line from Allen’s track “Pussy Palace”, also from West End Girl, in which she narrates an incident where she discovers a stash of sex toys and condoms at her ex’s West Village apartment. Lily Allen teamed up with JADE for a remix of her song 'Beg For Me' (Lily Allen photographed by Charlie Denis, JADE by Sophie Williams)Upon its release, West End Girl was widely assumed to be inspired by the marriage and eventual divorce between Allen and her ex-husband, Stranger Things star David Harbour. The former couple met in 2019 on the dating app Raya, before tying the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in September 2020. After moving into a Brooklyn townhouse together – along with Allen’s two daughters from her previous marriage – they separated in early 2025 and the pop star filed for divorce later that year.West End Girl received widespread critical acclaim and sparked international conversations around its themes of marriage, infidelity and non-monogamy.Enjoy unlimited access to 100 million ad-free songs and podcasts with Amazon MusicSign up now for a 30-day free trial.
