May 28 (Asia Today) -- Doosan Enerbility has been selected as a strategic manufacturing partner for key components in small modular reactor projects being developed by Rolls-Royce SMR.

Doosan Enerbility said Wednesday it will conduct manufacturability reviews for major reactor components to be used in Rolls-Royce SMR projects in Britain and the Czech Republic.

The collaboration covers the Wylfa SMR project in Britain and the Temelin SMR project in the Czech Republic.

Rolls-Royce SMR signed a contract in April with Great British Energy -- Nuclear, Britain's state-owned nuclear delivery body, and began site-specific design work for three small modular reactors planned at the Wylfa site.
