The actress, 25, who starred as Faye Windass on the ITV soap for more than a decade, took to social media on Thursday to candidly address an issue that she feels women can relate to.‌Ellie told her followers that she had been clothes shopping and, having been confused by sizing, explained that she has started to compare herself to others but is still determined to not let her own weight gain bother her as she urged her fans to remember that everyone is unique when it comes to shape and size.‌Speaking in a video posted to her Instagram Stories, she said: "Tell me why I picked up two of the skirts [in the same shop], just in different colours - one red one in a size 10, and one white one in a size 12 because they only had size 12 in the white one, and I'm a mixture. Why do they both fit me?! If you're worrying about what size you are...just get whatever size you feel comfortable.‌"I don't know why, but I’ve really started to compare myself to other people on the Internet because everyone is so thin these days. I’m five foot two and a size 10 to 12."I have put weight on and I feel uncomfortable, but my body is just changing and that's fine. I'm not gonna compare myself anymore to people who are built like models and just going to buy clothes I feel comfortable in and try to stop worrying about it.‌"As women, we just worry all the time about what we look like, what size we are. ;'Oh, I'm not as thin as her, oh I'm not as tall as her. She's got better legs than me.'
