The Venur police arrested two persons and seized 3.92 grams of MDMA, worth ₹39,200, on Wednesday.The police gave names of the accused as Mohammed Tanveer, 27, and Mohammed Salwan, 22.In a press note, the police said, on a tip off, a team led by Police Sub-Inspector Akshay Davagira found the accused hiding MDMA in the car parked in Kambaladadda on Guruvayanakere-Moodbidri Road. The police arrested the accused and seized the car. The two were booked for offence under Sections 8 (C) and 22(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.Two bookedA team of Bantwal Town police raided an unauthorised cow slaughter unit in Sajipamuda village on Wednesday, and rescued six cattle.In a press note, the police said the team led by Police Sub Inspector Sandeep Kumar Shetty, on a tip off, raided the unit operating in a shed behind a house.
