For a long time, I have been warning that Slovakia has, with only brief interruptions, pursued irresponsible and incompetent economic policies for the past 20 years, compounded over the last three years by a foreign policy bordering on national betrayal. All of this has taken place under the leadership of the Smer party and its leader, Robert Fico.
Fico’s economic policies are responsible for Slovakia’s decline across all major rankings of economic performance, competitiveness, the business environment, quality of public administration, innovation capacity, tax and social contribution burdens, educational standards, and more.
