I bought my first pair of Uniqlo x JW Anderson jeans — the light-wash straight-fit version — a few months ago, after senior writers Lauren Ro and Michael Zhao both gave them a very good review (followed by multiple Strategist staffers recommending them as one of the best pairs of under-$150 jeans). They quickly became some of my favorites and one of my most-complimented pairs, an impressive feat for $50 jeans. So when I stopped into a Uniqlo a few weeks ago, I figured I might as well try on the other pair from the collaboration, the baggy jeans. They had a comfortable but not overwhelming loose fit and a nice medium-dark wash — both of which I was missing in my jeans lineup — and they were on sale for $40 then, so I took that as reason enough to buy them.
