NewsUK NewsWeatherA series of new heat health alerts are in place across a large chunk of the country until Saturday evening, with Brits warned of a greater risk to life of vulnerable people16:27, 28 May 2026Updated 16:36, 28 May 2026Fresh heat health alerts have been issued for three UK regions over the next 52 hours, as the Government warns there is a "greater risk to life" for vulnerable people.‌The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) says the yellow alerts cover the East of England, London and the South East from Thursday, May 28 at 4pm until Saturday, May 30 at 8pm.‌It means health and social care services are likely to be impacted in the coming days, including a "greater risk to life" and increased use of healthcare services by vulnerable people.
