CPI(M) cadre staged demonstration in Thoothukudi on Thursday, condemning the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at the residence of former Kerala chief minister and CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan.Protestors alleged that the BJP-led central government is misusing the Income Tax Department and ED to intimidate opposition parties.The protesters also condemned the detainment of CPI(M) leaders M. A. Baby, Brinda Karat and others who had protested against the raid on Mr. Vijayan’s residence.Thoothukudi city secretary M. S. Muthu presided over the protest, which was organised near Chidambara Nagar bus stop in Thoothukudi.Thoothukudi district secretary K. P. Arumugam, District executive committee member K. S.
