Sri Narasu’s Coffee Company, an iconic South Indian coffee brand, with a 100-year legacy, is eyeing ₹1,000 crore in revenue in the next 5 years. The company’s current revenue stands at ₹641 crore as of FY26 and it’s expecting to grow at 18-20 per cent in the current fiscal. Narasu’s is also charting its entry into Karnataka, Andhra and Kerala with store launches in Bengaluru and Amaravati as part of its plans for FY27. The expansion follows its strong presence in Tamil Nadu with 81 company-owned stores and 180 SKUs, including a range of products in coffee, tea and other food products. Brewing moneyApproximately 50 per cent of the revenue comes from exports across 45 countries, including the US, Europe, UAE, Singapore and others. The 100-year-old privately held company is reinventing itself by sharpening focus on the online channel and the convenience-driven instant coffee category. It has a separate plant of around 8,000 MT annual capacity for instant coffee variants in Salem, separate from its roast and ground coffee plant. We are seeing the coffee drinking culture increase in Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, which are the next big markets after Tamil Nadu, and we are well placed to acquire a significant market share in these regions, Srudheep S, Managing Director, Sri Narasu’s Coffee, told businessline. Store expansionBengaluru currently has one store, and the Amaravati store is set to open in the next 2-3 months. Each store will host the full range of Narasu’s products, including their premium coffee blend, instant coffee and freeze-dried variants.The company also plans to enhance its existing distribution of 42 distributors to 150 by the fiscal year end. P Sivanantham, Chairman, Salem-based Sri Narasu’s Coffee, said that the company’s journey has been built on the pillars of “ethics, reliability, and integrity values” and their focus remains on future growth without compromising on these standards. Narasu’s products are available at retail stores and in D-mart, Lulu and Reliance, along with e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Blink-it.
