Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) on Thursday said it has appointed Pushp Kumar Nayar as director (human resources).Nayar, who held the position of executive director (HRD) at BPCL before this appointment, has more than 35 years of experience across retail, lubricants and human resource functions and has held several strategic leadership positions in multiple business verticals and locations, including a deputation assignment with Indraprastha Gas Limited, according to a statement by the state-owned fuel retailer.“He has developed extensive expertise in fuel retailing and lubricants marketing, consistently driving operational excellence, market expansion, and customer-centric growth,” said BPCL, a Maharatna public sector undertaking.Nayar is also certified in global psychometric frameworks and is a member of the Harvard Business India Leadership Advisory Board.According to the statement, he has also been instrumental in leveraging human resources analytics and emerging artificial intelligence-led interventions to institutionalise data-driven decision-making and strengthen organisational capability.Nayar is currently serving as chairman on the board of Arunachal Gas Private Limited and was earlier a board member of Central UP Gas Limited and Sabarmati Gas Limited.
