The Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) is set to play host to the first-ever annual general meeting (AGM) and conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA). The objective, according to the officials, is to deepen investment, trade, and economic opportunities in Rivers State.
At the back of the exercise is said to be to deepen the blue economy. Chinyere Nwoga, PHCCIMA president, has reaffirmed the chamber’s readiness to host what is termed a world-class event three days in June 2026. It is said to represent the first time in PHCCIMA’s 69-year history that both the chamber and Rivers State would host the prestigious NACCIMA AGM.
It is expected to convene captains of industry, policymakers, diplomats, investors, maritime operators and entrepreneurs under the theme: “The Gulf of Guinea and the Blue Economy: Pathways to Trade, Investment and Security towards a $1 Trillion Economy.”
Nwoga expressed appreciation to Jani Ibrahim, NACCIMA national president, for approving PH as host city, describing the decision as a strong vote of confidence in PHCCIMA’s leadership and Rivers State’s economic potential.
