AI-powered cameras, platform barriers and more visible staff are part of the latest TTC plan to improve transit safety, which has emerged as a key issue in this year’s election.

“We are rolling out a set of concrete, practical measures to make the TTC system safer for you, for your family, and for the dedicated workers who show up every day to keep Toronto moving,” said Mayor Olivia Chow at a press conference on Wednesday at Bloor-Yonge Station.
