The Civil Aviation Organization of the Islamic Republic announced that Tabriz International Airport, which was damaged during the war, will resume operations on Wednesday, May 27.

According to Majid Akhavan, the organization’s spokesperson, parts of the airport, including the runway and control tower, sustained damage during the attacks. After reconstruction work, both domestic and international flights can now resume.

At the same time, aviation officials announced that 10 of the country’s airports, including Mehrabad, Imam Khomeini, and Mashhad airports, will shift to round-the-clock operations.

Tabriz Airport is one of the most important airports in northwestern Iran. Before the war, it operated flights to destinations such as Istanbul, Najaf, Baku, and Dubai.
