Director of School Education Thammem Ansariya has warned that criminal cases would be filed against those spreading false propaganda about the Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ms. Ansariya said the Department of School Education had completed the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment drive for 15,941 teacher posts across the State in record time with transparency and efficiency.“All recruitments were carried out with utmost transparency by adopting advanced technology-driven systems and strictly following legal norms,” she said.Ms. Ansariya said the entire recruitment process was conducted in accordance with government orders, notified recruitment rules and reservation policies. She added that transparency measures, digital security systems, grievance redressal mechanisms and district-level verification procedures were implemented effectively at every stage. However, she alleged that certain newspapers, social media platforms and individuals were deliberately spreading false and misleading information about DSC-2025. Without properly understanding the government-notified reservation policy, particularly the implementation of horizontal reservation, some were making baseless allegations regarding question paper leaks, non-publication of merit lists and illegal selections without any evidence, she said.Ms. Ansariya clarified that complete merit lists, selection lists and all related details pertaining to DSC-2025 had been published transparently as per the notified procedures. The entire selection process was conducted strictly on the basis of merit, reservation roster systems, multi-level verification and secure digital mechanisms, leaving no scope for irregularities, she asserted. She said the false campaign was creating unnecessary anxiety among candidates besides damaging the reputation of the School Education Department and undermining the credibility of the recruitment process. Taking serious note of the issue, the Department had already initiated appropriate legal action, she added.Defamation notices were being issued to the media organisations, social media platforms and individuals responsible for spreading false information. Criminal cases were also being registered against those attempting to create confusion in society, she said.Demanding an unconditional public apology from the erring media organisations, social media platforms and individuals to both the public and the School Education Department, Ms. Ansariya reiterated that the Department remained committed to transparency, impartiality, merit-based selection and responsible administration in all government recruitment processes. She also appealed to candidates not to believe rumours or feel anxious over false information. Published - May 27, 2026 08:25 pm IST
