“The View” cohost Joy Behar said Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart exhibited “stupidity” and was “racist” for introducing President Donald Trump at a campaign event recently. (Watch the video below.)Giants linebacker Abdul Carter appeared to criticize Dart’s public support for the president, but later claimed there was no beef.On Tuesday, the daytime talk show played a clip of Dart gushing as he welcomed the president to the podium in Suffern, New York, during a campaign stop for Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.).“What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here,” Dart said. “And without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”Trump later raved about Dart’s “tree trunk” legs in an anti-trans rant.Cohost Whoopi Goldberg suggested Dart, who had a promising rookie season despite the Giants’ 4-13 record, was entitled to free speech.“It’s America,” colleague Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in.Behar wasn’t so forgiving. She said:“But for somebody to back a guy like Trump, whose history of discrimination and racism goes back to housing discrimination in the ’70s, DEI attacks, and posting pictures of the Obamas as apes — when [Dart’s] on a team that’s 55% to 60% of the NFL, that much percentage of Black people — that is just the definition of stupidity and racist in my opinion.”Behar’s teammates weren’t so willing to pile on the Giants star, although one could be heard saying, “You need your linemen to protect you.” Sara Haines said Dart’s status as the quarterback magnifies the consequences. She cited data indicating that the league was actually closer to 75% of non-white players. “I would have handled it differently,” she said. “Maybe he needs a little extra padding,” Behar sniped.Sunny Hostin, who is Black, added: “When you know the history of this president and you know the biases of this president ... This feels personal.”
