According to 2G, its North American subsidiary will begin delivering the units in the second half of this year, with supply continuing over several years.

The data center customer who has ordered the units has not been disclosed. The company said that the order will comprise a “large number” of containerized plants and also include the plants' onsite commissioning. It is the largest contract to date that 2G has signed.

“We are delighted about this important strategic step and the strong confidence placed in us by our customer,” said CEO Pablo Hofelich. “2G continues to pursue a systematic regional and product diversification strategy, to which our approach in the Data Center and AI segment is an ideal fit. With more than 10,000 installed units and our high plant availability, we will remain a sought‑after partner in this rapidly growing business field.”
