The political deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, reiterating threats made by Islamic Republic officials, stated that the probability of war breaking out again is low due to what he termed “the enemy’s weakness.” He claimed, “We will turn the coast from Chabahar to Mahshahr into a cemetery for American aggressors,” adding that IRGC forces are prepared for “hand-to-hand combat” with the enemy.

Akbarzadeh also referenced developments regarding the Strait of Hormuz, claiming that the United States has suffered a “strategic defeat” in “reopening” the waterway. According to him, following the “blockade” of the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. “could achieve nothing” despite its extensive efforts.

The political deputy of the IRGC Navy further stated that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic “are lying in ambush with loaded magazines,” speaking once again of a “harsh revenge” against the regime’s enemies.
