MINA: Former Al-Ettifaq player and Swedish international Robin Quaison has spoken about his joy at performing Hajj this year under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

Quaison, who announced his conversion to Islam in October last year, said the most profound moments of his journey were standing at Mount Arafat, spending the night in Muzdalifah and proceeding to Mina.

He said that while in Saudi Arabia for his football career, the country’s social ethics and strong faith deeply influenced his journey towards embracing Islam. He also praised the Kingdom’s development and leadership efforts in serving pilgrims and facilitating their rituals.

A total of 2,500 pilgrims from 104 countries arrived under the program, including 1,300 Islamic scholars and global figures, 200 from Liberia, and 1,000 Sudanese family members of martyrs and wounded personnel.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Alsheikh said Saudi Arabia spared no effort in serving pilgrims.
