In separate petitions dated May 17, 2026 and signed by the Chairman of CDHR Lagos, Comrade Wale Ojo, the group accused operatives of the State Intelligence Department (SID), led by ASP Austine Ekpenyong Odiong, of carrying out a “retaliatory vendetta designed to intimidate and silence Comrade Oluwasanmi from pursuing justice regarding extensive tax fraud and signature forgery allegations involving Alpha-Beta Consulting.”
The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Lagos State chapter, has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the Police Service Commission over what it described as the “systematic persecution and harassment” of a whistleblower, Comrade Segun Oluwasanmi, by officers of the Lagos State Police Command.

According to the petitions, CDHR had between October and December 2025 submitted several petitions to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Zone 2 Police Command and the Lagos State Police Command over allegations of “massive tax fraud and signature forgery” against Alpha-Beta Consulting and one of its officials, Olumide Hezekiah Idowu.
