Doppel launches agentic email security to disrupt phishing campaigns at the source

Social engineering defense startup Doppel Inc. today launched Doppel Email Security, an agentic artificial intelligence layer that traces phishing messages back to attacker infrastructure and orchestrates takedowns of the broader campaign rather than quarantining individual emails.

The product joins Doppel’s existing Digital Risk Protection and Human Risk Management offerings on a unified platform aimed at the full social engineering attack chain. It uses autonomous agents and the Doppel 360 Threat Graph to investigate inbox threats in context, then disrupt the malicious domains, fake profiles and impersonation kits behind them across multiple channels.

The release addresses the issue whereby conventional email security stops at scoring and quarantining messages, an approach Doppel argues no longer scales against AI-generated phishing produced at high velocity, volume and variety. Verizon’s 2024 Data Breach Investigations Report found the median user clicks a phishing email in under 60 seconds, leaving narrow windows for reactive controls.

Doppel Email Security investigates every inbound message using sender behavior, prior signals and attacker infrastructure already mapped in the threat graph. Detection policies are written as plain-language prompts that AI agents continuously tune, an approach the company says replaces opaque machine learning models and rule sprawl with explainable logic that analysts can read and audit.
