Tom Swarbrick made his hosting debut on Good Morning Britain earlier this week11:40, 27 May 2026Updated 11:41, 27 May 2026Good Morning Britain welcomed Tom Swarbrick into the hosting seat this week on the ITV chat show.‌Tom, 39, is typically seen on This Morning and Lorraine, where he is a regular contributor, but he only made his first appearance reviewing the day's news on Good Morning Britain in March and on Monday, 25 May, he stepped into hosting duties with Ranvir Singh.‌It comes as regular hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls are currently on a break during the May half-term holiday.‌Good Morning Britain viewers have been quick to heap praise on Tom's first ever hosting experience of Good Morning Britain, insisting he should be a show regular.As Tom hosts GMB, viewers have been intrigued to learn more about his life and family away from his broadcasting duties.‌Away from the spotlight, Tom is married with children. However, he chooses to keep his family private but has provided rare updates on his loved ones over the years.Tom has spoke about his daughter, eight, on This Morning before and he has provided updates on his son on Instagram, recently offering a glimpse at his 10th birthday party.Only recently, Tom announced that the family had welcomed a new addition in the form of a Golden Retriever puppy called Olive. Writing on Instagram, Tom announced: "We got a puppy!!! Welcome to the family, Olive!!"‌It comes after the family sadly lost their beloved pet dog in January. Tom penned at the time: "She was there from the start of it all. For nearly 13 years, the kindest, gentlest, most loyal dog who helped us bring up our a family. We love you, Islay. Go well."Tom rarely talks about his wife on Instagram or on screen, keeping his partner private. However, last year Tom shared his anger after his wife was spat on by a stranger while driving.‌Appearing on This Morning, Tom said at the time: "My wife was driving our daughter through a narrow rural lane in Kent, and as she stopped to allow a driver to come through, this driver pulled up alongside her, told her to wind her window down, gestured to wind her window down."He then just gave her a volley of expletives, every effing and jeffing under the sun, and then hocked up phlegm and spat it into her face.Article continues below"He was coming towards her. She had pulled over to one side to let him through. They hadn't had an incident before. There was just nothing."Our daughter was in pieces, you know, absolutely terrified. She's only eight. She's eight, [she was] on the floor. This is a very rural area. There's not a lot happening around there particularly."
