In a major change to its examination process, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has, for the first time, released the provisional answer key for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims 2026 before completion of the final result process.Candidates who appeared for the UPSC CSE Prelims 2026 can now access the provisional answer key through the official website, UPSC. The registration and attendance figures were lower compared to last year, when nearly 9.5 lakh candidates had registered and around 5.8 lakh appeared.Delhi recorded the highest number of candidates, with 70,885 candidates appearing across 144 centres.
