Two teenagers have been charged following a series of violent weekend assaults where victims were allegedly lured using dating applications.

A 15-year-old male faces a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, while a 17-year-old male has been charged with aggravated robbery causing grievous bodily harm.

Both teenagers appeared in the Invercargill Youth Court on Wednesday.

Acting Inspector Mel Robertson, Southland Area Prevention Manager, said the latest arrests relate specifically to assaults in Queens Park.
