A new request for the disbursement of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) funds, totaling €1.63 billion and following the full amortization of the prefinancing, has been submitted to the European Commission by Nikos Papathanassis, alternate finance minister responsible for the Recovery and Resilience Facility.

This concerns the eighth payment request under the grants component and the seventh request under the loans component of the Fund, covering a total of 34 milestones and targets. The 32 milestones achieved under the grants component relate to the implementation of major projects and reforms in the following areas:

Upgrading and modernization of the National Health System; strengthening employment, skills and social cohesion; acceleration of the digital transformation of the state and the economy; and development of infrastructure and strengthening of economic resilience.
