A new double request for the disbursement of Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) funds, amounting to 1.63 billion euros, has been submitted by Alternate National Economy and Finance Minister Nikos Papathanasis.This concerns the eighth request under the grants component and the seventh request under the loans component of the Fund, covering a total of 34 milestones and targets.According to the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, the 32 milestones achieved under the grants component relate to the implementation of major projects and reforms in the following areas:-Upgrading and modernisation of the National Health System
-Renovation of hospital infrastructure in 19 hospitals across the country
-Energy upgrading and creation of chronic disease management units in 40 Health Centres nationwide
-Operation of eight model home-care units with telemedicine infrastructure and patient registries in Athens, Thessaloniki, Alexandroupolis, Ioannina, Heraklion, Patras and Larissa
-Reduction of pharmaceutical expenditure (clawback) by 300 million euros since 2020
