Seven persons have been confirmed dead, while a mother and her two children sustained varying degrees of injuries when a trailer ran over them at Elewe-Odo Bus Stop in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The state Sector Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kehinde Dahunsi, who confirmed this to The PUNCH in Ibadan, the state capital, on Tuesday, said the injured mother and her children have been rushed to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for medical attention.
Findings by our correspondent revealed that the accident involved two trailers and two Micra cars.
It was further gathered that all the vehicles were heading towards the same direction when the incident happened.
An eyewitness said, “What happened was that the trailer behind the Micra suddenly lost its brakes while the one ahead of the Micra was negotiating the junction to its office.
