Torontonians are now able to sign up for summer activities at their local recreation centres, one week before general registration opens to the wider public, Mayor Olivia Chow announced Tuesday morning.

The announcement follows efforts by the city to increase access to recreational activities among communities, especially those in lower-income neighbourhoods, and to prioritize those who live near the centres.
