TOKYO, Japan – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos arrived here on Tuesday afternoon for a four-day state visit.

The aircraft carrying the Philippine delegation landed at Haneda Airport at 6:31 p.m. (local time). Marcos is scheduled to meet with the Filipino community right after his arrival.

Based on data from the Department of Foreign Affairs, there are 340,000 Filipinos in Japan as of 2025, half of whom are permanent migrants, while the other half are working in the fields of education, engineering, healthcare and others.
