This year’s Computex Taipei trade show will feature keynote addresses by the CEOs of Qualcomm Inc, Intel Corp, Marvell Technology Inc and NXP Semiconductors NV, the event’s organizer said yesterday.The event will also host four “heavyweight forums” on robotics, automation and physical artificial intelligence (AI) featuring senior executives from ABB Ltd, Nvidia Corp, Qualcomm and NXP, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA, 外貿協會) chairman James Huang (黃志芳) said at a news conference in Taipei.Senior executives from nearly 30 companies will participate in presentations and forums, Huang added.

The combined market capitalization of participating companies exceeds US$10 trillion and spans the entire AI ecosystem, he said.The event’s business impact is expected to be reflected primarily in export growth, with AI-related industries expected to account for around 70 percent of Taiwan’s exports over the next six months, Huang said.
Computex will again be held at Halls 1 and 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, while an additional venue at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 will feature an AI robotics section, he said.Nvidia GPU Technology Conference (GTC) will take place concurrently at the nearby Taipei International Convention Center, he added.With more than 1,500 companies participating, the event is larger than ever, Huang said.He said the number of preregistered international buyers has reached 25,000. With about one week remaining before the trade show opens, the total could approach 40,000, he added.Themed “AI Together,” Computex will run from June 2-5 and focus on AI and computing, robotics and mobility, and next-generation technologies. Nvidia GTC Taipei is scheduled for June 1-4.
