Oyefusi, through her lawyers, Platinum & Taylor Hill LP, alleged that she emerged winner of the ADC Lagos governorship direct primary conducted on May 22, 2026, after securing the highest number of valid votes cast by party members across the state.

A legal suit has rocked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos State after one of its governorship aspirants, Princess Islamiyat Abiodun Oyefusi, accused the party leadership of manipulating the outcome of the party’s governorship primary election in favour of fellow aspirant, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

Oyefusi, through her lawyers, Platinum & Taylor Hill LP, alleged that she emerged winner of the ADC Lagos governorship direct primary conducted on May 22, 2026, after securing the highest number of valid votes cast by party members across the state.

However, the legal team claimed that the party leadership later stripped her of victory and unlawfully transferred her votes to Rhodes-Vivour, who they alleged came third in the contest.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the lawyers described the development as a deliberate and coordinated act of electoral fraud.
