:An Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) and a Range Officer who were injured in an accident in Kallakurichi district on Tuesday were admitted to private hospitals in Coimbatore for further treatment.The car in which the ACF, Radhakrishnan, attached to the Tamil Nadu Forest Academy, and V. Thirumurugan, Coimbatore Forest Range Officer, were travelling to Chennai, reportedly for an official programme, overturned in a dry lake while attempting to prevent hitting a dog.While Mr. Radhakrishnan who underwent a procedure for heart ailment recently was admitted to a private hospital near Nilambur in a serious condition, Mr. Thirumurugan has been admitted to a private hospital along Mettupalayam Road for a fracture in left shoulder.Forest Range Officer Dileepan, and the driver, John, sustained minor injuries.A Forest Department team accompanying in another jeep rescued the injured officials and admitted them to Kallakurichi Government Hospital for initial treatment.
