For a long time, Leah Raschid, a third-generation Slovak American, felt like she didn't really fit in, like she was supposed to when she did what was expected.

“I followed everything that was supposed to be the ‘American dream’, but I wasn’t happy,” she told The Slovak Spectator, adding that, “it reached a point where I just didn’t feel like this was the lifestyle for me any more and was ready to take a leap of faith.”

She moved to the United Kingdom around two years ago to start a new chapter in her life. Little did she know that this would set her out on path of discovery and later towards Slovak citizenship as well.
