MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. EuroChem put into operation a sulfuric acid plant in Kazakhstan, the company told TASS.

"The design capacity of the plant is 800,000 tons per year, making it one of the largest in the country," EuroChem said.

The products will be used for the needs of the Eurochem’s chemical complex under construction and to satisfy needs of the domestic market in Kazakhstan.

The plant launch is the second stage of Eurochem’s investment project in Kazakhstan. The company put into operation the mining and concentration plant for mining and processing of phosphate feedstock with the capacity of 840,000 tons per year. The final stage will be commissioning of the mineral fertilizer and industrial products chemical facility in 2027.
