The first victim was found near the well-known viewpoint Rancho El Piruli, in Chimborazo on May 10.‌A second victim was found by the roadside along a motorway five days later, while the third was located on a dirt road in the Parque Las Palmas area. They were also said to have been found in isolated areas and were partially undressed.The latest victim was found with tattoos around her neck, hand and arm, reports The Sun. The tattoos that could identify the victim include a skull, a woman with horns and a name.‌There are fears one of the victims could be missing 22-year-old Elizabeth Martinez. She vanished in April and some of her tattoos are said to match some found on one of the victims.An investigation has been launched and police believe there is a possibility the women's' bodies were moved to Puerto Vallarta after they were murdered at another location. There has been no information about a suspect description.‌The killings will also be a concern among the many Americans who visit Mexico each year. Puerto Vallarta is known for its beaches and nightlife and attracted more than 40,000 visitors to its Pride event held between May 17 and 24.But the recent killings will raise fears for female travellers and residents alike, especially as crimes against women are a regular occurrence in the country. Mexico faces a crisis with the murder of women being among the highest in the world.Each year, thousands of women are killed and the handling of the murders has been slammed by demonstrators.
