Pocket FM’s CFO, Anurag Sharma
Audio entertainment platform Pocket FM’s CFO, Anurag Sharma, has stepped down after nearly five years with the company to pursue his own entrepreneurial journey according to the company.He was elevated to the position in 2023 before which he was the vice president of finance. During his tenure as CFO, he spearheaded the series D funding campaign which led to $103 million being raised and led expansion into international markets like the US.Before joining Pocket FM, he worked at Ninjacart, an Agri-tech company, where he was the head of finance. He also worked in B.K Birla and consulting firm Ernst&Young.A company spokesperson said, “Anurag Sharma has decided to move on from Pocket FM. He has been an important part of the company’s journey and has made meaningful contributions over the years. We thank him for his partnership and leadership during his time here, and wish him the very best as he explores entrepreneurial opportunities ahead.”Founded in 2018, by Rohan Nayak, Dana Ram Meghwal, Prateek Dixit, and Nishanth Srinivasagowda, Pocket FM operates as a provider of audio entertainment, including series, stories, and related content. The company has raised $197 million across five funding rounds from investors like Lightspeed, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Tencent.
