Heavy metal rockers Metallica are soon heading to the UK to cap off the European leg of their M72 World Tour. Ahead of their Glasgow, Cardiff and London gigs, the band is partnering with blood services.

James Hetfield and his lot are collaborating with UK blood services – England's NHS Blood and Transplant, the Welsh Blood Service and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service - to encourage their fans to donate blood and plasma ahead of their concerts.

The initiative is an extension of the work done by Metallica’s charity All Within My Hands and raises awareness for the constant need for blood donations.
