Ursula Marchioni has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Multi-Asset & Advisor Solutions for Europe at Vanguard. The physics graduate most recently spent 13 years at Blackrock in London.

Ursula Marchioni will become part of Vanguard’s European leadership team and report directly to Jon Cleborne, Head of Europe at Vanguard, according to a statement released on Tuesday. In her newly created position, she will oversee the Model Portfolio Solutions (MPS) business, the Multi Asset Group, the Advisory Research Centre (ARC), as well as the Portfolio Analytics & Consulting team.
Marchioni brings extensive experience in multi-asset investing, portfolio solutions and working with financial advisers across Europe. Most recently, she served as Managing Director at Blackrock, where she led the Investment and Portfolio Solutions division for the EMEA region. Prior to joining Blackrock, she held various positions at Credit Suisse, Société Générale and KPMG. She holds a degree in physics from the University of Trento.
