LEGAZPI CITY — The Philippine Army and Australian troops on Monday opened the “Kasangga” 2026-1 joint military exercise at Camp Elias Angeles in Pili, Camarines Sur.
The Philippines-Australia Army-to-Army Exercise (PAAAE) aims to enhance interoperability and strengthen joint military operations between the two allied forces.

Major Frank Roldan, chief of the 9th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office, said the training will run until June 21 and involves 86 personnel from the Australian Army and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, including members of the Philippine Army, Air Force, and Navy.
