MANILA, Philippines — New Labor secretary and former Sen. Francis Tolentino on Tuesday said he is placing the agency’s regional director for Region III under preventive suspension for a month in line with the investigation on the collapse of a nine-storey building in Pampanga.

Tolentino made this announcement just a day after he was appointed as the new Department of Labor and Employment chief, replacing Bienvenido Laguesma.
