The number of registered regular voters has increased to around 71 million ahead of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE), the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Tuesday.Comelec chairperson George Garcia said the figure was higher than the 68 million regular voters recorded during the 2025 national and local elections.He also said the country now has around 25 million registered Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voters.“More or less kung dati-rati noong 2025 elections ay meron tayong 68 million na botante na regular. Ngayon po meron tayong mga more or less 71 million na regular na mga botante,” Garcia said in an interview with (More or less, in the 2025 elections, we had 68 million regular voters. Now, we have more or less 71 million regular voters.)“Ang Sangguniang Kabataan po ay 25 million (The Sangguniang Kabataan voters are now 25 million),” he added.According to Garcia, around 5.6 million people registered during the October 20, 2025 to May 18, 2026 registration periodThe next registration may resume by February 2027, he added.Garcia explained that SK voters are aged 15 to 30 years old. Those aged 15 to 17 will receive one ballot for the SK elections. The number of registered regular voters has increased to around 71 million ahead of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections (BSKE), the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Tuesday.
Comelec reports 71M regular voters registered for BSKE 2026 (up from 68M in 2025), with 5.6M new registrants added in the Oct 2025–May 2026 window; SK youth voters total 25M. The 15–30 age cohort represents a large digital-native segment relevant for platforms and companies refining Philippines GTM strategy ahead of the November 2 elections.
