Saudi Arabia’s interior minister meets security and military leaders ahead of Arafat Day
RIYADH: Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif met with security and military leaders ahead of the day of Arafat, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Tuesday.
More than 1.6 million pilgrims are taking part in this year’s Hajj, with many heading to the plain of Arafat for the climax of the pilgrimage on Tuesday.
Saudi authorities are conducting a massive operation to keep the Hajj safe for all those participating.
On Monday, movement into the tent city of Mina was carried out under a unified operational system, with authorities reporting smooth flow along key routes, supported by traffic management plans and aerial monitoring to ensure orderly crowd movement.
