The Peoples Redemption Party has affirmed the senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Buba, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Bauchi State.
The affirmation was announced on Monday in Bauchi by the party’s Deputy National Vice Chairman (North) and overseer of the Bauchi State primary election, Haruna Buhari, after the conclusion of the party’s governorship primary.
Buhari said the exercise formed part of the PRP’s nationwide primary elections conducted across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory in accordance with party guidelines and electoral laws.
According to him, Buba emerged as the sole cleared aspirant for the governorship ticket and fulfilled all constitutional and legal requirements necessary for his affirmation.
