Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has vowed to resist any form of electoral malpractice in the 2027 general elections as the Allied People’s Movement affirmed him as its senatorial candidate for Bauchi South Senatorial District.
The party also affirmed the Commissioner for Finance, Yakubu Adamu, as its governorship candidate, Commissioner for Water Resources, Nuhu Zaki, as the Bauchi Central Senatorial District candidate, and deputy governor, Auwal Jatau, as the Bauchi North Senatorial District candidate.
The affirmation was held at the Bauchi State Government House on Thursday.
Speaking after the affirmation, Mohammed said his political camp would pursue issue-based politics and would neither encourage nor tolerate election rigging.
He said, “We are not going to underestimate our competitors. Even a child that is born today, if he is a candidate, I am going to deal with him like a grown-up person.
