BRASILIA, May 25. /TASS/. Moscow sees prospects for building additional nuclear power units in Brazil, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said.
"In the area of nuclear energy <…> Rosatom fully meets the needs of Brazilian nuclear power plants and supplies radioisotopes necessary for scientific research and healthcare. We see prospects in the area of constructing additional Russian-designed power units, with both large and small capacity," he said at the meeting of the Russian-Brazilian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Russia is also committed to further cooperation in the IT sector, the minister noted, adding that these primarily include projects to digitalize the urban environment and public administration, as well as the implementation of telecommunications and cybersecurity solutions.
