MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Russia completed the procedure for ratification of the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Indonesia, with the relevant law signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The agreement was signed in St. Petersburg on December 21, 2025 between the EAEU and its member-countries on the one part and Indonesia on the other part.

The document provides for the preferential trade regime for approximately 90% of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity. Among other things, the agreement should create conditions for further development of trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU member-states and Indonesia. In particular, it refers to interaction in spheres of processing industry, agriculture, energy, information and telecommunication technologies, research and development, digital development, technical and customs regulation, as well as sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
