MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Russia completed the procedure for ratification of the economic partnership agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the relevant law signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The agreement was signed in Minsk on June 27, 2025. The document provides for the preferential trade regime for more than 85% of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity. Conditions were determined for further development and deepening of trade and economic cooperation in spheres of mutual interest, including customs cooperation, e-commerce, technical barriers in trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, intellectual property rights and public procurement.

The agreement provides among other things for development of sectoral cooperation, particularly in such spheres as transport and logistics, competition policy, tourism, research and development, trade in ecofriendly goods, information and communication technologies, and other areas.
