Greek tourism is reducing its dependence on the summer season, but still has a long way to go to effectively expand past the hot months, according to tourism researchers Mabrian.
It showed that summer accounts for 72.9% of the year’s tourism demand in Greece.
But winter tourism in the last quarter of the year is projected to grow 10.7% from October-December 2025 figures. This compares with 5.4% growth in Spain, 4.2% rise in Italy and 2.5% decline in Portugal, per the same research.
The last quarter attracts mature European markets, with travelers choosing more expensive accommodations.
