TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the renovated library and museum at the Indonesian Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad) in Bandung, West Java, on Monday, May 25, 2026.According to the Presidential Secretariat, Seskoad has produced several graduates who have later become national leaders, including the 2nd President Soeharto, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and President Prabowo Subianto.In addition, three other Seskoad graduates have been entrusted with the role of vice president. They are the 4th Vice President Umar Wirahadikusumah, the 5th Vice President Sudharmono, and the 6th Vice President Try Sutrisno."With the bismillahirrahmanirrahim invocation, this Monday morning, May 25, 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the renovation of the museum and library of the Indonesian Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad)," said Prabowo, as quoted from a written statement on Monday, May 25, 2026.The inauguration of these facilities is claimed to affirm Seskoad's role as a strategic educational institution, both nationally and internationally.According to the Presidential Secretariat, Seskoad has also overseen the education of four Singapore Army Chiefs of Staff. They are Neo Kian Hong as the Singapore Chief of Staff of the Army for the 2007-2010 period, Melvyn Ong Su Kiat as the Singapore Chief of Staff of the Army for the 2015-2018 period, David Neo Chin Wee as the Singapore Chief of Staff of the Army for the 2022-2025 period, and the current Singapore Chief of Staff of the Army, Cai Dexian.The newly inaugurated Seskoad museum displays the history, journey, and dedication of the leaders to serve as inspiration for the officers currently undergoing education.Colonel Arhanud Desi Ariyanto, the Head of the Department of Struggle and Doctrine at Seskoad, stated that the museum is an important learning space for officers to understand the history of struggle and leadership. "As military personnel, we must have knowledge, especially of war history, military history, and within the history of war, there is also leadership," said Desi.In addition to the museum, Seskoad has a library with 42,000 books. Desi mentioned that around 500 students, including 30 international students, are educated at Seskoad every year."They study here.
