TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises and Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria said Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) has officially become a state-owned enterprise.“Today it has officially become a BUMN (state-owned enterprise), because the process requires 1 percent of the shares to be owned by the state with special authority. As of today, it has become a BUMN,” Dony said when speaking to reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, May 25, 2026, as quoted by Antara.Dony said he signed the agreement formalizing DSI’s status as a state-owned enterprise on Monday morning. However, he added that the mechanism for exporting natural resource commodities such as coal, palm oil, and ferroalloys is still being finalized.“The detailed information will be presented later. The process is still ongoing,” Dony said.President Prabowo Subianto announced during a plenary session at the People’s Consultative Assembly complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, that the government had issued a regulation governing the export of natural resource commodities.Following the regulation, the government established PT DSI as a company with a special mandate to manage and oversee transactions involving strategic natural resource exports. The establishment of DSI was driven by concerns over persistent under-invoicing and transfer pricing practices in several Indonesian export commodities over the years.Under-invoicing refers to the fraudulent practice of importers or exporters deliberately reporting the value of goods on invoices below the actual transaction value.Transfer pricing, meanwhile, refers to pricing policies applied in transactions between affiliated companies, including transactions involving goods, services, intangible assets, or financing arrangements. In its implementation, DSI will operate in two phases. During the first phase, which will run from June 1 to December 31, 2026, the company will act as an assessor and intermediary between sellers and buyers of selected export commodities.
