Police officers and firefighters were dispatched to the area shortly afterwards, and Mr Roush was declared dead at the scene.‌It remains unclear how Mr Roush ended up in the pond. The golf course in eastern Illinois is an 18-hole course and is known for its slopes.‌An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday in Springfield, Illinois. His death is also being investigated by the coroner as well as the Edgar County Sheriff's Department.A public obituary said Mr Roush - from Vermillion - had been an inspector for GE Aerospace in Indiana and worked with the company for more than 30 years.
